Privacy Policy
Last updated July 2026. The short version: IBANtool runs in your browser and does not send the IBANs or BICs you enter to any server.
No data collection for tool inputs. The IBAN validator and SWIFT/BIC lookup run entirely client-side in your browser using JavaScript. The text you type into the validator or search box is processed locally and is never transmitted to, stored on, or logged by IBANtool servers.
Analytics. IBANtool uses Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — pages visited, device type, country, and referrer. Analytics operates on anonymized, aggregate data and does not give us access to the IBANs or BICs you enter, which never leave your browser. You can block analytics with a browser extension or Do-Not-Track settings.
Server logs. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived request logs (IP address, URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These are not associated with the content you validate and are rotated automatically.
Cookies. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Google Analytics may set its own cookies to measure sessions; you can disable these in your browser.
Third-party links. Pages may link to bank websites or external references. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which IBANtool does not control.
Children's privacy. IBANtool is a general-purpose developer and consumer reference tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone.
Your choices. You can use the tools without providing any personal information, block analytics with a content blocker, and clear cookies at any time through your browser.
Changes. If this policy changes, we will update the date above and adjust the text on this page.
